The First Check-Up |

Once your new kitten has settled into his new home, it is a good idea to schedule a visit with your veterinarian for a complete
health examination. Take along a fecal sample that can be tested for intestinal parasites. This visit also allows you to
request advice regarding questions you may have about your kitten’s health, behavior and nutrition. During the initial visit,
your veterinarian will administer any needed vaccinations, provide a complete health examination, and begin a health record for
your new family member.

Did You Know? |
| Neutering
prevents unwanted pregnancies and neutered males and females are less likely to develop certain reproductive
tract diseases, including some forms of cancer. Neutering also improves behavior by reducing urine marking and the desire to
roam, and decreasing aggression between male cats. Neutered animals generally
live longer than non-neutered pets. |
