Your Puppy's First Check-Up

Your Puppy's First Check Up

Printable Version
Check Up Preventive health care is an important component of caring for your new puppy. Regular veterinary visits, administering needed vaccinations, and preventing common parasites all contribute to your dog’s well-being and will help to ensure a long and healthy life for your new family member.

Once your new puppy has settled into his new home, schedule a visit with your veterinarian for a complete health examination. During the initial visit, your veterinarian will administer any needed vaccines, provide a complete health examination, and begin a health record for your pup. Take along a fecal sample that can be tested for intestinal parasites. This visit also allows you to request advice about your puppy’s health, training, and nutrition.
