Great Companions® Premier Parrot Bird Food

According to our customers, Premier Parrot Bird Food is the best parrot mix on the market. Who are we to argue? It has your four basic food groups (as far as parrots are concerned): fruits, nuts, veggies and seed. And it has lots of them. Nuts like almonds, peanuts and pistachios. Fruits such as papaya, banana, raisins, pineapple, coconut, and apples. And nutritious veggies like beans, carrots, sweet peas, and more. Mix in a few seeds like jumbo sunflowers and safflower and your bird has a feast on its hands! Like all Great Companions mixes, Premier Parrot is virtually dust-free and contains no added chemical preservatives. It's also fortified with vitamins and chelated minerals to give your bird the complete nutrition it needs. Resealable 5 lb size.

I agree. this is a great mix. I have african greys, macaws and an amazon that all love it. Been feeding them a variety of fresh foods, mix of seeds and nuts, fresh produce and pellets daily for years and they are all so healthy and active. I don't know why people are afraid of giving their parrots seed. Seeds are a life source, you can sprout them and they grow. I don't deprive them of what they love as long as they eat a variety. Keep cracking, guys. There is very little dust if any in this mixture, you pay for what you get. Don't buy seeds in pet shop if you can help it, it may have been sitting on the shelf and in the bag for awhile and doesn't have the variety and seeds that parrots enjoy. Macaw avi cakes are another joy in their diet. In fact, I buy all my feed from Gr. Companions, always fresh. Organic veg, fruits and Harrison pellets. Nothing but the best for them, exercise is equally important. Beleive me, the effort pays off, you will have the healthiest and happiest birds.

Having fed this food for going on 16 years to my severe macaw I have found it to be the best mix when accompanied with fresh fruit etc.
